kidz

Preschool-6th Grade

HBC kidz exists for one purpose—to help children know, love and follow God with all their heart, soul and strength. We provide a safe, fun, enriching environment for your child to learn about Christ and discover how to love others and become a faithful Christian.

Sunday Mornings

Sunday Morning Bible Study classes begin at 9:00 am. As you drop your child off at our welcome desk you will receive their security tag-this tag must be brought back with you to pick up your child. Each week we offer relevant Bible studies as well as many other fun and educational events and programs for children and their families. Sunday mornings provide an opportunity for children to grow in their faith and into disciples through fun games, exciting worship, and inspiring studies directly from the scripture.

Our Curriculum

It’s more than a story—it’s good news!

The Gospel Project is a weekly Bible study that helps children dive deep into the big story of the Bible—God’s plan to rescue His people through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Focus on Jesus

Help children see how the whole Bible points to Jesus and the gospel.

Connect the Dots

A chronological study plan unites the big story and themes of Scripture.

Live the Story

Help children avoid moralistic thinking through gospel-soaked discipleship

Each week your child will come home with resources, crafts, worksheets and a scripture from their lesson. Take time to talk with your child about what they learned and use these resources as prompts for gospel conversations in your home.

Parent FAQ's

Preschool

How is my child’s security ensured while on church campus?

You and your child will each receive a corresponding numbered security tag. You must present your portion of the tag to pick up your child—no exceptions. All of our volunteers are carefully trained and screened to ensure the safest environment possible.

Is childcare provided for all activities?

Childcare or age-group appropriate activities are provided for most church-wide functions and some small-group meetings. Most events will include this information at registration or within our verbal/written announcements. But always feel free to call the church office or email    to if you have any questions.

What age children are kept in the nursery?

At this time we keep the age birth – 2 years.

What is the drop-off and pick-up procedure for preschoolers?

Children are accepted into the classroom 15 minutes prior to the service and must be signed in (and given a security tag) by their parent or guardian. Children should be picked up immediately following the service unless contacted beforehand. Children will only be released to the parent or guardian with the matching security tag in hand.

What is your wellness policy?

Out of consideration for everyone on campus, children who show signs or symptoms of a fever or any other contagious diseases will be sent home.

Is there any information I need to provide to church staff or personnel on our first visit?

We ask for basic information for each child who attends for the first time. This will help us place them in the right spot and also give us parent/guardian information should we need you in during the service.

Can you administer medication to my child?

No medications will be given due to fevers or infectious illnesses.

Tips & Reminders

Please label all of your children’s belongings. We discourage parents from allowing their children to bring their own toys into class with them, as it is easy for them to be misplaced or forgotten.

Safety

In HBC kidz, safety is one of our highest priorities. Upon check-in, you'll receive a security tag for each child. After the service, you'll show the HBC kidz leader your tag in order for your child to be released from their room.

Every HBC kidz volunteer leader is screened, participates in a background check, and receives appropriate training from our staff. Additionally, our hallways are monitored by background-checked security during each service or event to make sure your child stays safe and secure.
